The heavy-duty Shantui machine, with registration number GN 3069-21, reportedly suffered a sudden brake failure before careening into three shops at the Bibiani Roundabout on the morning of Monday, September 8, 2025.

Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident. However, the emotional and financial impact on the traders is immense. For many, these shops were not just businesses – they were lifelines supporting their families and dreams.

The affected shop owners are now appealing for help to rebuild their businesses and recover from the devastating loss. “Everything I worked for is gone,” said one shop owner, tears streaming down her face. “My phones, accessories, and tools – all destroyed. I don’t know how I’ll start again. I need help to recover.”

Another trader added, “We’re small business owners trying to survive. In a blink of an eye, everything is lost. We appeal to authorities and anyone who can help to support us in this difficult time.”
